Helping with Drives at the Grocery Stores. This included passing out flyers at the doors or sorting food in the truck. This will be a combination of pet food drives, food drives, and hygiene drives at Safeway, Fred Meyer, Dollar Tree, and possibly Walmart.

Helping organize and put on fundraising events. This would include work before the event to organize it and helping on the day of to run it. More info to come.

Volunteer Truck Driver. This would be a position that would be a random schedule filling in when we need a truck driver. Adding truck drivers costs money so not everyone who is interested will end up helping. This is just to give me an idea.

Administrative paperwork. This would mostly be entering data

Grant Writer. If anyone has experience and interest in writing grants, let me know

Volunteer Driver for Grocery Rescue. This would be picking up food in your own car mostly on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This position is not a regular schedule and is a backup for our current drivers.

CUMC Blessing Box

During these difficult times we are seeing more and more activity at the Blessing Box in our parking lot.  On a daily basis people are donating to the box and taking items as needed.  If you would like to donate you can add non perishable items directly to the box, bring them inside the church lobby and we will restock when needed, or you can make a financial donations to the church and memo them “Blessing Box”.  We are SO grateful for your continued generosity.

India Mission
  • 700 people participated in or attended the Christmas program, with a special note that the 100 gifts they had for the 14-17 age range disappeared quickly, including many youth who had stopped coming in recent  years returning and even wanting to participate (see older dancers, if include the videos).
  • 300 attended the New Year’s Eve service; 2x usual attendance.
  • Many miracles surrounding the funeral/memorial service for father/relative of worship leader and dance instructor, which started with asking for days of fasting and prayer before knew that he was very sick:  Allowing/asking for prayer amidst adamant refusal from many relatives; participating in the Christmas program against cultural norms of no celebrations for a year after a death of a family member, etc.  Asking for prayers for God to continue giving Grace in the situation.
  • Prayers for Umbali and family: She has been on a YWAM mission and wishes to continue serving in missions.  Father is an alcoholic and pressuring her to marry.  Mother attempted suicide last year, but survived, and both mother and daughter asking to take baptism soon. (new prayer request today, that “Devil is raging and roaring” about the baptisms, so “Please pray for protection and victory.”)
  • Were able to buy a mirror 1/5 acre adjoining the original 1/5 acre previously purchased for the recreational/education center near one of the villages.  Blessing and praise to Central Church for a large donation to help with the purchase.  The previous owners, after seeing the initial clearing and leveling, asked if they could hold their child’s wedding there.  They were able to bless the family with a level area for a tent, as well as leveling the drive with left over dirt, while they had the equipment, creating extra good will in the community.

Limiri Foundation
